Abstract: Very little is known, and, in fact, nothing is known abroad, about the contribution of our compatriots into the theory of management. The history of modern administrative thought in Russia has started even a little earlier than Taylor’s works appeared. But real development of management was connected with the end of Civil war in 1920-s. The experience of the theory and practice of management should be divided into three periods, of which the first was the most fruitful. The third period has been lasting by our days.
