graduated from the Tashkent State Theater and Art Institute (now the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan) department of theater studies with honors. In 1986, she successfully defended her candidate's thesis at the Institute of Art Studies in the specialty “theatrical art”, and in 2003 she defended her doctoral dissertation. He has the scientific title of professor (2019).
S.M.Kadirova began her career in 1986-1992 as a teacher at the Tashkent State Institute of Culture. Since 1992, she has worked at the Institute of Art Studies as a scientific secretary, doctoral student, senior and leading researcher. Together with her scientific work, she continued her pedagogical activity. Since 2013, he has been a professor at the Department of “Art History and Cultural Studies” of the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan.
S.M.Kadirova is a leading theater critic in Uzbekistan. Her scientific research mainly concerns the problems of the Uzbek theater of a new type, the emergence and development of comedy art, as well as the current state of the Uzbek theater. In the books published by her, “Yzbek komediyasi va uning saҳnaviy talkini" (1983) and “Comedy san'ati tarikhi" (2008), the historical development of comedy art is scientifically substantiated. During the years of independence, she published textbooks “Kygirchok theaters tarikhs” (2006), “Uzbek theaters Tarikhs” (2019) together with M.Kadyrov and the textbook “Theater of the Axi". Her publications are distinguished by the novelty of thinking concerning the problems of traditions and creative searches in the modern Uzbek theater.
Participates in all events, conferences and scientific seminars, festivals, discussions of performances. Including was Chairman of the jury of the Republican festival “37+1” (Tashkent, 2003). and traditional puppet festival (Andijon, 2009; Tashkent 2019). A member of the Union of theatre workers of Uzbekistan.
