Abstract: The problem of the effectiveness of computer systems engineering in the design of equipment for Positioning, Navigation and Timing support is considered from engineering and economic perspectives. The detailed calculation of cost-effectiveness of such a system based on real data is presented. Conclusions are based on the obtained results and a number of factors that could significantly affect the effectiveness of such systems are highlighted.
