Abstract: The current problems of modern problems of forming and increasing the attractiveness of the investment climate in Azerbaijan are considered in the article. The essence of the processes of formation of the investment climate in the country is analyzed. The efficiency and attractiveness of the investment climate are considered, taking into account global economic transformations. The volume of domestic and foreign investments in Azerbaijan for 2005-2017 is analyzed. The share of domestic and foreign investments in the overall structure of Azerbaijan's investments for 2005-2017 is considered. The dynamics of foreign investments in Azerbaijan for 2011-2017 is separately given. The volume of financial loans in the structure of foreign investments in Azerbaijan for 2011-2017 is considered. In particular, the volume of direct investments in the structure of foreign investments for 2013-2017, the volume of foreign investments in the oil and non-oil sectors of the economy for 2011-2017 are analyzed. A number of recommendations and suggestions on contemporary problems of forming and increasing the attractiveness of the investment climate in Azerbaijan are summarized and made.
