Abstract: The article deals with the artistic representation of the hero's struggle against opposing forces and his victories in the dastan «Erziywar». The author analyzes the arguments on the topic of war by famous epic scholars – academician V.M.Zhirmunsky, R.S.Lipets, DSc. Prof. K.Maksetov on the basis of the heroic dastan of the Karakalpak people «Erziywar» and heroic actions of the hero to protect his country from external enemies.
