Abstract: The article deals with the foundations of analysis and synthesis as methods of scientific activity; methodological impartibility and unity of analyses and synthesis, as well as the requirements for application of these methods especially in modern conditions of global sustainable development implementation. A special attention is also paid to the concept ‘quality’ in association with analysis and synthesis.
