Abstract: The article presents the results of the population financial literacy research in the Vologda region in 2010–2014. The conclusion of the article is based on the results of social research of the population of the Vologda Region. The revealed trend shows the decrease of the basic financial knowledge and skills of the population, associated with the use of uniform financial products and the weakening of the flow of financial and economic information in 2011-2014.
