Abstract: The article deals with the peculiarities of manifestation of myth-making as a strongly pronounced tendencymanifesting itself in the modern social and cultural environment, in particular in the political reality. Society loses the ability to analyze events rationally and to distinguish truth from fiction. Reality exists independently ofhuman consciousness, and the myth is the oldest form of spiritual perception of the world. Modern mythological thinking is a symbiosis of the cult of the archaic and artificial construct schematic thought forms. The process of myth-making and creating of new mith-worlds intends to exclude products of thinking from communication. Overpassionarity destroys common sense and self-preservation instinct. Emotional human blindness and deafness are widely used for making political upheavals.
