Abstract: Present-day strategy of the fundamentalization of the educational process in the maritime university, pedagogical requirements for the design of basic and foreign language training of marine specialists based on the principle of fundamentalization; special attention is paid to the organization of educational and cognitive activities of students; the integrated training sessions, the third-line training are examined and their distinctive features are revealed; Increasing the efficiency of the educational process is associated with the use of innovative pedagogical technologies.
