Abstract: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is widespread among patients with type 2 diabetes. With the increasing prevalence of NAFLD, it is becoming a serious public health problem, in parallel with the worldwide increase in the incidence of diabetes and metabolic syndrome. This work presents a review of the literature data on the study of the pathophysiological mechanisms of NAFLD in diabetes.
