Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of the forces of tangential resistance between the threads of textile materials that impede their movement. The study of human movement, as well as visual observation of worn-out products, showed that shear processes most often appear in the region of the seams of the most intense areas of clothing. According to the results of the study, it was established that it is advisable to use additional overhead parts in extreme areas of clothing, as well as seams of more complex structures.
Key words: The cloth; textile thread; friction.
