Abstract: This article discusses the emergence of synergy and the paradigm of self-organizing systems in the ХХ century. Special attention is paid to the fact that instability, chaos, entropy, fluctuation and bifurcation differ from the balance of the social system and the methodological problems of systematically studying the social system.
