Abstract: This article discusses the issues of barrier devices at railway crossings, the actions of both vehicle drivers and pedestrians at railway crossings, and the problem of road safety. The article also provides an overview of some details of the structure and installation of barrier devices (CBD) at railway crossings based on examples of CBD used in foreign countries. One of the main points covered by this article, is associated with the introduction of new dimensions into the structure of BD, in particular by reducing its overall dimensions to achieve greater efficiency in the construction of such devices on the train tracks.
Key words: construction of crossing barriers, railway crossing, security problem, railway crossing signs, reduction of the size of the CBD.
