Abstract: The authors emphasize the problem of investigating crimes that accompany car thefts. The subject of the research is the issues of prevention, especially the investigation of crimes that accompany car thefts. Recently, the distribution channels for stolen vehicles have changed. If not long ago criminals solved the problem of selling stolen goods on their own or through buyers of stolen goods, now, due to the operational activity of law enforcement agencies, they sell them through intermediaries. Most of the stolen vehicles are sold and used on the territory of those regions of Kyrgyzstan where they were stolen, in addition, the stolen vehicles are dismantled for spare parts. It is necessary to know that the stolen transport is not only overtaken, but also transported by rail, air, road, and vans. As a way of selling, as well as legalizing stolen vehicles, criminals often use commercial organizations, private notaries that have an official license to issue powers of attorney for the purchase and sale of special equipment and vehicles. The authors carefully analyzed the scientific literature, the author applied the principles of dialectics, and also summarized statistical data on car theft. The authors propose proposals that will contribute to the preventive and investigative activities of law enforcement agencies in order to disclose and investigate crimes.
