Abstract: This article is devoted to research on the importance and necessity of budgetary and extra-budgetary funds in the organization of higher education institutions, the sources of their financing, accounting and their control. Within the framework of the research work, the conclusions and proposals of a number of economists of scientists have been studied, and suggestions and recommendations have been developed for the effective use of extrabudgetary means to improve their control.
