Abstract: On providing the monitoring of the society’ idea the role of Mass Media has been studied on the basis of hierarchic analyzing method. On determining the monitoring of the society’s idea is divided into 3 factors such as: government Mass Media, private Mass media, nongovernmental Mass Media. Furthermore, the activity of Mass Media has been studied on 6 criteria: professionalism, independence, economic freedom, fairness, social activeness and impartiality. The activity of Mass Media in the different societies has been separated to 4 theoretical approaches: “Thermited press”, “Tribonic press”, “Transformed press” and “Tanazian press” and they have been compared by comparison.
