Abstract: The article is devoted to scientific activities and way of life Russian anthropologist and religious studies Gleb Pavlovich Snesariev. It analyzed its main research work connected with the history of the study of religious-cult values and a place of pilgrimage Khorezm. Scientific work is justified in the Khorezm archeological-ethnographic expedition which put the basis of studying ethnography and religious and religious values Khorezm. Studied fundamental research G.P.Snesarev has been comprehensively studied rituals and customs related to ancient beliefs Khorezmians, including traced the genesis of Khorezm and calendar rites. Analyzed the research of the author, where author analyzes the origin of the legends in the light of Khorezm demonological performances and especially paid attention to the survivals of primitive customs and rituals in the Khorezm Uzbeks. Displaying the practical significance of scientific heritage, which has invested in science G.P.Snesarev today.
