Abstract: This paper analyzes the problem of identification of psychoemotional states in voice parameters in relation to the situation of cross-cultural communication. Discusses two questions: the possibility of making the "language" of expression of different emotional states in the voice and appropriate recognition of emotional states of the speaker according to the characteristics of voice. Results of analysis of review papers devoted to the vocal correlates of psychoemotional states are presented. The results of studies on the recognition of emotional states expressed in speech through the voice, depending on the culture and language of the recipients are discussed.
