Abstract: The article highlights one of the ‘through issues’ which has always been the subject of research. This is the problem of love, the study of which is especially important in the modern world. It is known that this object can be investigated from the point of view of various methodological settings, approaches, such as ethical, social, cultural, moral, cultural-historical, ontological. The ontological understanding of love is manifested in the fact that love is seen as the substantial basis of being. The social function of love is able to transform the existential being of a person.
