Abstract: The assessment of the adequacy of innovation in the economy of Azerbaijan in the face of growing global threats is studied in the article. The main problems and issues of deepening innovative processes in the economic processes of Azerbaijan are analyzed. The essence of the conducted innovation policy and innovative work in the development of the national economy is revealed. The factors slowing down the pace and interfering with the application of innovative functions in different sectors of the country's economy are considered. The importance of an objective assessment of the adequacy of innovation of the country's economy in the current conditions with the application of more effective measures to intensify innovative processes is substantiated. A number of recommendations and proposals on an objective assessment of the adequacy of innovation in the economy of Azerbaijan in the face of growing global threats are given at the end of the article.
