Pages: 65-69 Published: 30.06.2018 Abstract: In this scientific article, the institute of the biys as an organ for regulating intergenerational conflicts is being investigated to support the sustainable life of the Kazakh society. The biys performed the functions of the court in the Kazakh society and took part in the development and adoption of the oral codes of the Steppe region. The biy court was formed within the framework of the human civilization of the Steppe region. Key words: court of biys, tradition and culture of the Kazakh people, Kazakh customary law.
