Abstract: The role of UNDP in shaping human potential is presented in the article. The issues of strengthening the capacity to reduce vulnerability are considered; tendencies to improve the conditions and quality of life on the basis of balancing the components of sustainable development (economic, social and environmental) that are characteristic of the modern world.
