Abstract: This article discusses some methodological issues about the importance of the pedagogical system for the development of a reading culture in literature lessons, the development of specially organized reading activities as a leading goal and structural basis for the development of a reading culture, the effectiveness of reading literary works, the definition of principles, conditions, and criteria for this process, the development of didactic support, expected requires clarification of the results. Therefore, on the basis of the pedagogical system for the development of reading culture among students in the process of literary education, a systematic description of the development of a reading culture is given.
