Abstract: The article deals with the works of modern methodologists of Russian as a non-native language, which actively develop the possibilities and ways of using songs in the educational process to solve learning problems, the principles of song selection, a set of exercises and forms of organizing the educational process based on the use of songs. It has been established that the singing and work of students with song lyrics have a positive effect on the process of obtaining knowledge and developing skills in all types of speech activity in Russian and increase the overall motivation to study it. In Russian practice, teaching Russian as a non-native song is used to solve didactic problems in the classroom, as well as within the framework of special courses and extracurricular activities. At the same time, the song as an educational text is used both for solving a set of problems and for working out a certain aspect (pronunciation, lexical, grammatical).
