Abstract: This article examines the letters of A. P. Chekhov, who speak about the variety of form options and the richness of the writer's language, about the linguistic and cultural features of the language units used by A. P. Chekhov in the structure of the key (initial and final) segments of the author's epistolary texts. Language signs are analyzed, which are not the only variants of the initial and final segments of the epistolary texts of A. P. Chekhov.
