An example of the use "six sigma" method during laboratory work in the discipline of the master's degree "Innovations in the preparation of production" in the study of the process "Manufacture of a slot pocket with two threads and a valve" was considered. The effectiveness of this method is shown. Key words: lean production, six sigma, sewing production.
