Abstract: The article presents the results of an all-Russian sociological survey of young people studying in psychological and pedagogical classes, in pedagogical secondary specialized schools and universities. The research methodology was based on neoinstitutionalism in the historical version, phenomenological constructivism and a cognitive approach. The study involved respondents aged 14 to 35 years, representing all federal districts of the Russian Federation. The sample consisted of 1800 respondents. Sample characteristics: multi-stage. All federal districts of Russia served as the first-stage selection units. In addition, the sample population included respondents from the territories liberated during the Second Military Defense of the Russian Federation in Ukraine (LPR, DPR, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions). The study measured variables reflecting the state of the value system, patriotic attitudes, national - state and civic identity.
