Abstract: The analysis of the current condition of small hydropower system in Kyrgyzstan is presented and the main problematic issues in this area are revealed. The evaluation of the ongoing activities aimed at improving the investment climate and relevant proposals have been developed to ensure and promote the coordinated effective operation of all stakeholders on the mass construction of small hydro power plants in small and medium-sized watercourses of the country.
