Despite the availability of the correct requirements and goals in legislative and governing acts to ensure economically viable sustainable use of pastures, some gaps are not consistent with the current practice of pasture farming. This article discusses possible legislative acts governing pasture resources to identify what institutions exist to manage pasture resources located in the border areas of southern Kyrgyzstan.
