Abstract: The article provides brief information about the geography and history of the use of the term Indian and India as a toponym. Then, in the works of Alisher Navoi, information related to this term was widely studied and classified. It has been discussed in detail that the poet used the Indian form of the term India, addressed events related to India, people of various professions and categories in almost all his epic, historical-religious, scientific works, and even touched upon the emergence of this term. In general, through the analysis of the texts related to the term India, it has been proven that Alisher Navoi was a comprehensive scholar, master of words, rich in reflection, and a historian with deep thinking.
