Abstract: This article provides analytical information on the period of domination of the sultanates in Egypt in the 13th-15th centuries and their role in the state. It is well known that after the Mongol invasion of Baghdad in 1258, the Abbasid Caliphate collapsed. In 1261, the Sultan of Egypt, Baybars Zaheer Baybars, moved the Caliphate, which ended in Baghdad, to Egypt and allegedly restored it.
