Abstract: The article explores the motive of war against foreign enemies in the compositional structure of the dastan of the Karakalpak people “Koblan” and the dastan of the Kazakh people “Koblandy batyr”. In the dastan, the idea of saving the people from various disasters, preventing the invasion of enemies, their attack on their native land comes to the first plan. The struggle of the protagonist of Koblan for the independent life of the people from external enemies, for the peace and freedom of the people and their native land is analyzed. The dastan describes the fair opposition of the batyr with giants and sorcerers for their supernatural and magical actions. In the development of the plot, the picture of war finds its scientific study.
