Abstract: The article considers the prospects for the development of Uzbekistan's exports. Based on the analysis of the dynamics of foreign trade, the article highlights problems that impede the achievement of the sustainable development goals of the economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the long term. These are problems such as the recent decline in economic growth, a negative foreign trade balance (excluding the cost of exports/imports of energy resources), a weak degree of commodity and geographical diversification of exports, and institutional problems. Taking into account foreign experience and the results of empirical studies, the author proposes a number of specific measures aimed at further diversification of the geographical and commodity structure of the republic's exports.
