Abstract: The article widely analyzes the creative skills of the famous writer M.Taumuratov, who created works that have peculiar genre and artistic characteristics in the Karakalpak literature. The writer occupies a significant place in the Karakalpak literature, who first created poetic works, as well as stories describing life events, and then short stories based on deep psychologism and stories that raise environmental issues, the novel "White Station", written in a peculiar direction. The article comparatively studies the works of the writer with Uzbek literature, substantiates the genre and artistic features of his works by scientific arguments.
