Abstract: The article presents studies on the determination of the radionuclide activity of gamma radiation of thorium-232 in the waters of the Sherabad River of Surkhandarya region by the radiometric method. Six samples were taken from the waters of the Sherabad River and measured in a proprietary radiometer-spectrometer MKGB-01. In a sample of river water passing near the village of Kallamozor, it was found that the concentration of thorium-232 is higher than at other points.
