Abstract: In the article, as a result of theoretical research, a formula has been derived that calculates the rate of outflow of a heavy liquid, depending on the change in the amount of gas content in the inner mixing zone of the apparatus. Experimental studies were conducted to verify this formula, and the experimental results fully confirmed the proposed formula. As a result of the research, a method for calculating the flow rate of heavy liquids supplied to the device was developed. Depending on this value, conditions have been created for the correct choice of the ratio of light and heavy liquids supplied to the device.

Key words: bubbling extractor, heavy phase, mixing zones, liquid velocity, gas content, resistance coefficient, heavy liquid flow rate, gas velocity.
