Abstract: Proverbs are unique forms of the language in terms of form and content, and mainly show the specific features of this language in a wonderful way. This is the main aspect that increases the interest in learning this part of the language. Although a lot of research has been done in this area, this article shows how well the proverbs in English and Uzbek languages are thematically related to each other. Here, the division into topics is presented using examples that match each other in meaning.
