Abstract: The article deals with the problems of rationalization of environmental management with the growth of anthropogenic impact and the insufficiency of measures used to preserve natural complexes and the search for optimal interaction between the economy, man and nature. The article also discusses in a staged form certain issues of methodology and methodology of using the basin approach within the framework of natural and man-made zoning of territories, which would make it possible to accurately identify natural and man-made territorial systems that are formed mainly due to natural factors.
