Abstract: The article is devoted to the pedagogical and psychological characteristics of motivation in teaching a foreign language. Motivation and inspiration are at the heart of all human activity. There is an external and internal motivation. Unfortunately, motivation for learning a foreign language decreases at different levels of education. The task of teachers is to support students, even if they make the slightest progress in the spoken language to communicate in it.
