Abstract: Nuruddin Mahmud Zangi, a prominent representative of the Zangi dynasty that ruled parts of the Levant and Upper Mesopotamia on behalf of the Seljuk Empire in the twelfth and thirteenth century, was one of the kings who fought for the prosperity of the homeland. In addition to fighting with external enemies, he was also kind to scholars for the development of islamic knowledge in his country and the prosperity of his people.
