Abstract: This article presents an overview of the luster ceramics found in Shamkir, of medieval town in the western part of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Lustre - a special colorful composition which gives a metallic shine to the wares. Floral and epigraphic ornaments are dominant in decoration. Often founds in figurative motifs.
