Abstract: The article examines the study of a complexing ion exchanger based on urea, formaldehyde and phenolsulfophthaleic acid. The effect of temperature and molar ratios of the starting materials on the properties of the resulting complex ion exchanger has been determined. The structure of the synthesized complex ion exchanger is proposed and the exchange properties of Cu (II), Zn (II), Ni (II) ions are determined. The IR spectra and thermal characteristics of the obtained complexing ion exchanger have been investigated.
