Abstract: The principal algorithm for determining thresholds for indicators is considered in the article. On the example of morbidity indicators, the "simplicity" and "complexity" of the algorithm for determining thresholds are shown. Some generalizations have been made for such algorithms. It is shown how the thresholds of indicators can be used in management tasks using the example of risk management for public health. The prospects of using thresholds in management are discussed.
