Abstract: This article will be given a brief account of the effective and centuries-old scientific work of Abu Bakr ibn Mas’ud ibn Ahmad ibn al-Kasani (d. 587/1191), one of the proud and well-known scholars, who was given the name “Malik al-Ulama’” and described as “Sultan al-Ulama’” in his time.
