Abstract: Ethnic Kyrgyz living in the territory of the modern Tajik Republic have not lost the originality of material and spiritual culture. Kyrgyz of the studied region are settled in places by compact groups, and in some places they live in the neighborhood with Tajiks. Therefore, certain similarities in their wedding ceremonies are a natural phenomenon. This was facilitated by the daily cultural, household and economic contacts of the Kyrgyz with the Tajiks. In the process of these ties, international family and marital contacts took place, the exchange of economic experiences, cultural values and labor skills.
