Abstract: The article highlights the problems of national initial steps of social security in UZBEKISTAN. It is considered that the state of social security, improvement of pension insurance legislation, social support for pensioners and disabled people. Measures taken by social welfare bodies for the elderly, conditions and procedures for granting pensions to Chernobyl victims, providing amenities for the elderly and providing them with public services.
