Abstract: The sphere of digital economy in the system of professional education is quite new for science. In existing research, we can note a significant preponderance in the direction of studying the practical aspects of its implementation, which creates certain restrictions on the depth of its theoretical study. The article analyzes some of the challenges of developing the economy of the future and training professional staff in the higher education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the context of the formation and further functioning of the digital economy.
