Abstract: Data are presented on pollen viability in diploid, polyploid cotton species and their intraspecific diversity, as well as on the F1, F2 hybrid obtained on the basis of interspecific hybridization. The presence of high indices for this trait in the studied species, their hybrids, and the determination of the degree of their phylogenetic relationship are indicated.
