Abstract: The article covers the issues of the idea of creation, educational feature and issues of the publication of the Karakalpak folk dastan Zhahansha, as well as its interpretation in the performance of Kurbanbay zhyrau. The work analyzes the peculiarities of creating images of heroes in the story of dastan, the construction of the story and compositional aspects. A comparative analysis of the motives of childlessness was carried out, according to the peculiar posture of the birth of the hero, after reaching the age of majority to them, his wandering on the way to mastering knowledge and craft. The relationship of positive and negative heroes with unnatural characters in dastan has been analyzed. In the conclusion of the article the individual-author quality of epic creation is covered.
