Abstract: In scientific studies of world linguistics conducted in recent years, the tradition of taking into account the human factor in revealing the essence of linguistic phenomena prevails. Based on the anthropocentric paradigm, semantic research has also achieved qualitative change. Scientists of the world study abstract words related to the way of thinking of mankind not only from the linguophilosophical and grammatical points of view, but also on the basis of the anthropocentric approach. In a number of scientific works, abstract names are studied from a mental, semantic-conceptual point of view, axiological, associative, linguistic studies are carried out on these units, which is important for modern linguistics. For, in the words denoting all the spiritual achievements of mankind, reflects a special way of thinking, spirituality and culture of speakers of a particular language. In Uzbek linguistics, the issues of transferring abstraction in a language, linguistic abstraction and its results, and the lack of scientific research of abstract words determine the relevance of the topic of this study. The purpose of this article is to identify the connection of the lexical abstraction of the Uzbek language with thinking, the interpretation of the processes of abstraction of the lexical tier, the refinement of the semantic structure of abstract names of semantic composition, the study of lexical-semantic groups of abstract names. To achieve this goal, we studied the philosophical, logical aspects of the abstraction process and established ways to convey them; the essence of linguistic abstraction is revealed, the process of abstraction in vocabulary is analyzed; studied the semantic features of abstract names; studied lexical and semantic groups of abstract names, carried out semantic classification.
